Midland Vacations from $352

When we arrived late afternoon there was a note attached to the front door directing us to our room and that they were busy with another client, but did supply a number to call. Our room door was wide open with the keys laying on a table. We did try to call to ask about the wifi and breakfast. We received a text, 3 hours later, with the wifi info and that we were not getting breakfast or coffee as it was not included. I understand about breakfast, but no coffee? There was no TV's anywhere and I do not remember seeing that on the site, but I may have overlooked. The house itself was nice, historical, but we were not overwhelmed by it, nor the lack of attention to customers by the owners. Very overpriced for what you get.

The property is perfectly centrally located to Auburn's campus making everything in town and on campus very walkable. The hotel is very pretty and Grand appearing. They only had one working elevator of the two the whole time there, and no one seemed to be working on it, and the one that was working was slow. Parking is an additional $23/day which is frankly a lot ($28 to valet). The room is spacious and the bed was really comfortable, bathroom large and spacious. The walls are paper thin. could hear people talking outside at the front from our 2nd floor room. There was a sports team staying on our floor and the girls might as well have been staying right in the room with us every time they walked past the door. Front desk staff were very nice. The attached restaurant has nice ambience and apparently highly rated brunch, though we didn't eat there. The pool is small but nice. Have to walk through all of the meeting rooms and ballrooms in your pool stuff to get to it, but not a huge deal. overall it was a nice stay with great location.
