"This house is really nice and a perfect spot for 2 adult couples. Bedrooms with their own bathrooms on either side of the cabin, a beautiful overlook balcony of the river, and huge windows everywhere to take in the scenery. The owner was really nice and easy to communicate with via text and gave helpful instructions to find the place. It is far off the main road so I suggest traveling in an SUV or a car well off of the ground. My only star taken was for the accuracy of the listing as it says...

"Such a nice property! We especially loved the outdoor spaces - deck, fire pit area, and the bench beside the creek. Quiet and peaceful! Very close to the trailhead for the A.T., which we loved. Go north to climb Three Ridges or south to climb The Priest. The bed was super-comfy too! Great place to unwind."

Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of and provided by the hosts, from snacks and drinks, to copious amounts of towels and pillows, even luxurious bathrobes. And we enjoyed watching the deer romp from the huge, wrap-around porch. It was just a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. And communication with the hosts couldn’t have been easier. "We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out."
