“Stayed for a couple of nights while in town for a wedding. Clean and comfortable room. Had a 4th floor room; it was quiet even though it was close to the elevator. Friendly staff. Great coffee. Standard free breakfast. Easy and quick drive to the center of Lexington. I’d recommend staying here, I’d definitely stay again.”

“There was no body lotion in our room. Refrigerator was not cold and my cold packs did not freeze overnight. The bed was terrible. Slept poorly. We will never stay here again. Breakfast was awful. Eggs were terrible and the selection was minimal.”

“We have stayed at the Gin many times and this stay was very good. The property, while historic, is well maintained and clean. I was concerned by some reviews but found everything to be well cared for. Our accessible room was large, spotlessly clean, had high ceilings, heavy woodwork, and a modern updated bath. The staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast is minimal and self-serve but was adequate for our needs.”

“There was a person sleeping in the gazebo one morning when I left my room, I also checked in early and was charged an early check in fee for a room that was empty. I felt like that was something that could have been waived. Also my key cards didn’t work after the first day and when I went to get them fixed the front desk person asked me why I was given a room in the dungeon, I also had several people on my floor slamming doors and yelling in the hall way past midnight. “The lodge was secure, and I really appreciated that the staff allowed us to check in early. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. A few things could be improved, such as replacing the shower curtain and ironing board, and giving the refrigerator a more thorough cleaning, as they had noticeable yellowish stains. I expected these items to be in better condition. That said, I'm not complaining too much since we mainly needed a place to sleep. The location is excellent, with stores, parks, and the safari……
