“Great location for the national park and state park and a day trip to Chicago. Was not happy with the host of the house. Upon arrival the house had unlocked windows, ripped blinds on both sides of house, trash from last guest, dead bug, towels were folded wet not damp but wet. Broken fence panels in yard and we paid a pet fee and picked this house for the back yard. Storm damage had the gazebo upside down in side yard. Trash on floors upstairs and downstairs. “The location was perfect for our needs. We were close to our family who live in the area, a grocery store was 5 minutes away, the lovely River Walk was close by, too, providing plenty of outside time and a number of restaurants to choose from as well. We had a wonderful, unforgettable stay. ”

While the house is on the smaller side, it fit my group comfortably and we had no complaints, especially with its affordability. The location was very quiet and close to the beach front. “This is a great little place to stay that is close to the Dunes and all the cuteness of Chesterton and Porter. We came for a wedding and really enjoyed the area. Our host gave us great breakfast recommendations and was very quick to respond to any questions. The apartment was very clean and the decorating was very tasteful and comfortable. GREAT bed mattress and spacious bedroom was a bonus! Highly recommend for a short or long stay in the area. We loved the area so much, we plan to come……

“This was our third stay in one of the cabins on the property. Well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Great groomed walking trail all around the pond, perfect to exercise our dogs and stretch our legs after a long drive. Tons of bird activity for those interested in a bit of bird watching. We will be back!”
