"We had a magnificent time in these lovely guest quarters: spacious, comfortable, immaculate, fully equipped – and with stunning views across the countryside. Our delightful hosts, Wendy and Ian, were always available to answer questions or provide information. The property is close to Cardiff and other areas of interest such as St. Fagan's National Museum of History. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals, but this one was among the very best!"

"We have stayed at the cottage several times and we love it! The cottage is immaculate. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even a towel in the porch for muddy dog paws. The weather was mixed but we managed to go walking every day. Walked up to North Hill and saw some lovely Exmoor ponies and our dog loved playing on Dunster beach. We will definitely be back."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the cottage was cosy and done out beautifully. Warmed up quickly when we put the heating on, everything we needed was there, milk left in the fridge and essentials in the bathroom, clear instructions left too. "We had a fantastic family holiday here. The house was very comfortable and clean and well appointed. Our grandson particularly appreciated the Brio Train Set and all the Lego....not to mention the Tarzan Swing along the lane. Our welcome pack was the best I have ever had. The situation is just beautiful and for us, just perfect for visiting our family in Barry. Only thing to flag up, as we arrived in the dark, we were looking for the Yellow Grit Bin, which isn't there now!!!! It didn't matter...

"The property (inside and out) was spotlessly clean and very well presented with very tasteful decor. Fixtures and fittings were of good quality and the kitchen, bed and particularly the shower were excellent. A nice touch was the fire which was 'ready to light' with extra wood supplied too. Road parking was adjacent to the house. A local shop and Chinese takeaway were 2 minutes walk away. The stairs are very steep if you struggle with mobility, but a beautiful feature of the house. "Luccombe Cottage ist einfach traumhaft - wunderschönes Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage. Es war alles blitzsauber und liebevoll vorbereitet. Allein der Blick aus dem Fenster jeden Morgen ist die Reise wert. Auch die Umgebung hat viel zu bieten, Wanderungen im Exmoor vorbei am wilden Ponys, die Nähe zu verschiedenen Stränden, kleine Hafenstädte…einfach schön! Auch die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war sehr nett, auf jede Frage kam sofort Antwort. We hope to be back!"

"Modern interior, well equipped and a superb location. Be aware that the third single bedroom is located away from the other bedrooms which may be unsuitable for younger children. Our four year old wasn't to keen on sleeping there. But she enjoy the rest of the building and surrounding area. We would come again."

In winter it’s quite a basic living choice - bring your own linen and towels and everything you might need for cleaning your kitchen . Possibly a little overpriced because it is one of the more basic chalets and hasn’t be3n modernised but it’s clean and that counts !"
