Location made the stay worthwhile. Hotel is a little tired-lobby area is a lot nicer than hallways going to rooms. A microwave in rooms would be nice and complimentary coffee and water in mornings. Pool should open at 8 or 9 am. 10 am is too late. Free parking is a plus.
First time stay at Wild Dunes but loved it. Everything was very clean and beautiful. Room was large, quite and beds were very comfortable.
Bathtub was sluggish, fixed immediately. Housekeeping did not come, had to get my towels sent up.
We stayed here to celebrate my hubby's retirement after 36 years of teaching in CA! We saw Hootie & the Blowfish Friday pm and then came to The Beach Club for R & R.
The hotel was adorable and the staff was very pleasant. Nice comfortable and safe hotel. The location is perfect for visiting both the beach and downtown Charleston.
The beach is spectactular
Didn't realize the villas were so far away from main hotel disappointed it was a 2 mile drive Main hotel staff not very pleasant Villa check in was pleasant Beach was nice Liked the fitness center Restaurant food was ok
When we arrived, the gentleman at the counter seemed a bit deep in thought as we walked through the front door, I think he may have been busy. He was pretty no-nonsense and had a dry sense of humor. He was rather helpful in getting us checked in and giving us our parking pass. The hotel is less than ...
The unit we rented was older and outdated. Plumbing was a problem. Have stayed at Wild Dunes five times and most of the places we stayed were outstanding. This location was great. Pool right outside door and ocean to the right. Lighting in condo was poor. Will go back to Wild Dunes but will not stay ...
There was confusion for first timers. Although listed on Expedia As a room choice for Sanctuary hotel, a villa is actually individually owned and managed separately from the hotel. The location is different, and you can't use the hotel gym or pools as a villa guest. The villa is not bad, but it is ...
The updated the place but the room had a strong musty smell to it. Free breakfast was ok - actually went out the 2nd day. Average place right on the beach - location was great.
The hotel learned from our friends that we were honeymooning and upgraded our room and provided a wine/cheese tray when we arrived. Amazing!
