It’s a beautiful old hotel—the kind of place that appeals to a specific taste. Of course, not everything is perfect, but it has a real old-world charm. Personally, I love that sort of thing. The breakfast felt very homemade.
Staff is friendly. Appreciate the breakfast and eggs made to order. Barley biscuits are nice but the gravy tasted sour the next day. Only one banana for the next day. Building and room is dated. Bathtub is not clean. Room is dark.
It's not the best you'd expect, but for the price, it's well worth the value.
The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, breakfast choice is okay. I won't mind to go back & stay again.
This property is very unique. It’s not a fancy boutique property. It is a quirky, nostalgic and fun property. The lobby reminds me of being in an antique treasure trove. The host/owner is so nice and accommodating. We felt very much like we mattered. It is not only dog friendly, but welcomed. The free breakfast was good, homeade barley biscuits and gravy, he even made eggs fresh for my husband. Coffee, juices and waffles. The rooms are older but clean and homey. It’s unique in that the room has an entry door to the parking lot as well as a door to the hallway that leads to the lobby. Which came in handy to grabbing the breakfast and coffee. And then also handy in running out to the car. The location is absolutely perfect. Downtown is within walking distance and the river is also within walking distance. We stayed for 3 nights. I would definitely return to stay here.
Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Room was run down and not very clean. Spider webs in the bathroom, smelly carpets, could hear people walking above us and next to us, need was terrible and very very hot in the room will not be back and will not recommend.
Great rooms in nicely maintained older building. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast which were home made and delicious.
It's always nice to take a step away from the corporate chains and find a hidden gem like this. Definitely would recommend.

Older hotel right on 101 in Florence. Had a room in the back and could hear the couple next door. Luckily they were quiet (except the baby cried a few times). They allow dogs for a $20 fee each night. The door lock wouldn't open using the code but the owner gave us a key. He made breakfast for guests in the morning and there was coffee (no cream just milk) and a waffle maker. The hotel has supposedly been upgraded but I couldn't tell if anything was newer than 30-50 years. Not a great place but good enough for a shower and sleeping. Mo's is nearby so we did have a decent dinner.
The hotel is located a short, walkable distance from Old Town. It was great to be able to stretch our legs after the drive down the coast and explore Bay Street for our dinner. Eric is a marvelous host and was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. The room was not luxurious, but we would definitely stay there again.
Property was nostalgic and comfortable; good value for the price. Also conveniently located to conveniences and a waterfront historical district with nice shops and good food.
