The reason to stay is location, which can’t be beat. We’ve stayed here before it became ‘corporate’. It’s now almost impossible to call ahead and speak to someone actually at the hotel (persistence will pay off however’). Once there, the staff on site are friendly and helpful. The building given its seafront location requires constant maintenance and some of this was lacking: our door lock was jammed and keycard never worked the 2 days/nights we were there, the pool was also non functioning. The restaurant had limited hours and NO breakfast. There is coffee in the lobby which I guess is covered by the $50/night result fee we were billed after check out. Not sure what else that’s supposed to cover. A huge plus would be an outdoor shower or at least foot shower to keep from tracking in pounds of sand after time on the beach
