"My friend and I met about halfway between each of our homes for a weekend celebrating 35 years of friendship. The Beached Houseboat was a great location! Communication with Adam was great and the Houseboat was just as described. We had a little issue with the grill Friday night but upon calling Adam, he resolved it quickly and was apologetic that it happened. We were grateful for his quick response. There’s a small fridge, microwave, toaster available. Additionally, a griddle, air fryer, crockpot, and blender that we didn’t use. We each brought coolers and kept drinks in one and used the other one for regular food storage since counter space is limited. There are a lot of windows which are tinted and air conditioning but we were there when it was 95° and it was a little warmer in the kitchen/ bedroom area. I brought a small tower fan and it helped cool that area off more. The shower was tricky to get the water adjusted properly but we made it work. The property was so serene. It was nice to be away from road noise and traffic. There were so many birds and deer, and we heard coyotes at night. The night sky and full moon during our stay was beautiful! There were tons of fish in the pond and it was so refreshing to swim on a hot day. We explored a trail near the pond. The property is huge and I hope to return again to explore more."

"It was the best hotel we’ve stayed in for a long time. The room was updated and clean. The morning breakfast was amazing and the staff kept it full and clean. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again. Even the coffee was good!"

"The place was great except we booked it because it had a hot tub. The site has not been updated they no longer have one. The pool was great tho. The rooms are roomy and beds are very comfortable. "

"This was an excellent experience! Be sure to write down the gate code and door code before signal is lost. Otherwise, you will have a 10 minute drive to gain signal enough to look it up. Property is beautiful and peaceful! We left the board game "sorry" and the movie "passengers". Hope to see what else is added when we return!"

"The photos really don't do this property justice. It is a serene, rustic cabin with pastoral views. The host goes above and beyond with the available amenities. Very responsive too. We really could have brought a lot less with us. A short drive to downtown Point Pleasant & all the local sites. Nice to come back to grilling up some dinner & relaxing by the fire pit. Would definitely stay again."

"This property is a well-kept little secluded oasis. The owner knocks it out of the park, providing the little necessities, from bathroom supplies to K-cups... The cleanliness gets a 10! We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub after hiking all day. The kitchen skillets/pans and utensils are all new and high quality. The fourth bedroom and bonus area are only accessible by a spiral staircase but are a great place for kids. It was a little further from Hocking Hills than I realized. But it was a 50-minute scenic drive on country roads. All in all, we give this property a 9.5 and would definitely go back."

"This place was one of the best places we ever stayed at. So quiet and the wildlife was amazing. Birds of all kinds, deer, turkey, bullfrogs and turtles also. The lake was fun and the hiking trails were just enough for a bit of exercise. We stayed for 3 nights and never left the property. Hated to leave. Roger and Mary joined us around the campfire as my friend played acoustic guitar. Great owners!! Only suggestion we had was maybe some hooks on the wall in the main bedroom to hang some clothes."
