The Best of Both, Bay & Beach!

Star Gazing, Beach Bon Fire, Horseback Riding, Beach Combing, and Rest and Relaxation. If this sounds like your vacation desire, Resting Beach Face is for you. Conveniently located on the north end of the Cape, our home includes dedicated private access to the white sand beaches of Cape San Blas and private access to St Joseph Bay for those who enjoy snorkeling for shells and scallops (in season), as well some of the best bay fishing to be found. Bring your kayak and paddle boards! Two public beach access points are just minutes away, both north and south.
The top floor screened deck is the perfect area to toast amazing sunsets and starting the day with a perfect sunrise. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is 1.5 miles away, offering a scenic glimpse into the Cape before being settled. Take the Hammock Trail for an education into the Cape flora. The trail is just inside the park entrance.
Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are a short drive from the Cape and offer amenities of small towns. Apalach even has a brewery! Each town has it's own eating establishments and the Cape has a few. Longbill's and Coneheads are less than a mile to the north, Peachy's is next to the Trading Post to the south. The Cape Trading Post and Scallop Cove offer last minute grocery and adult beverages. The "Post" has an attached liquor store. Don't miss a trip to Weber's Little Donut Shop next to the "Post", where a dozen are just not enough, but go early; the line sometimes forms at 5:30AM for a 7:30 AM opening and yes, they are that good.
Bring your binoculars for bird watching and for night sky gazing off the north side top deck. On a clear night, the milky way is visible and the limited light pollution of the Cape brings stars right to your fingertips.

EXCELLENT STAY at Resting Beach Face!
Our VRBO experience was hands down the best! Daryl was available to answer questions at all hours and provided us with everything we needed. This home was fully stocked with every appliance you can think of and a dream place to call home for your next trip! Having both beach and bay side access was a highlight of our trip. Having access to both sides was convenient if tide was high on beach side and we wanted the kids to play in the water/sand on the bay side. The amazingly relaxing two porches was peaceful. The location was beyond perfect for our family to access both sides. Beds were better and more comfortable than my own back home. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off. We felt super safe and happy with Daryl’s place “Resting Beach Face” We will definitely stay here again! This home was super clean and organized!!!!

Great stay!
This beach house was perfect for our family! The kitchen was very well stocked including a great selection of spices. We were very close to the drive-on beach access which was very helpful with our golf cart rental. Overall a great place to stay!

Amazing Stay at Resting Beach Face!
Resting Beach Face in Cape San Blas was an incredible vacation rental. The house was beautifully decorated and well equipped from kitchen to beach equipment. The outdoor decks were spacious and perfect for queit mornings, dinners and sunsets! It allowed everyone to have some space for relax hours, but best provided a great view for everyone blasting fireworks on the beach! The location was great! Both bay and beach access within 5 min walk was perfect for our kids. Owners were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend Resting Beach Face for a memorable getaway with family and friends.

Wonderful Vacation
The home was amazing! Everything was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The only things we had to grab were groceries and basic sundries as we used up some of the supplied items throughout the week. Check-in was effortless and everything was ready and waiting for our arrival. Daryl was very friendly and responsive and even had his cousin drop off smores for the kids one evening. I have no complaints whatsoever. Wonderful home with wonderful owners that made for an amazing vacation.

Great Vacation Get Away!
Visited this property with family. The house is amazing. The elevator made it easy for my brother- in- law, who just had a knee replacement, to navigate. Beautifully decorated with every amenity available. Cape San Blas is beautiful and tranquil. The Gulf on one side and the calm bay on the other. Just what I needed! Some super cute, small restaurants on the cape but we did a lot of cooking at the house. The homeowners were so easy to work with and answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend!

Resting Beach Face was exactly what our family needed!
The ground level is neatly manicured with a mini fridge, outdoor shower, and fenced in backyard. The closet is stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, shade options, beach carts, and beach games. The 2nd level bedrooms are spectacular with comfortable beds and extra pillows and blankets. Fans are available throughout the home. We loved the bedroom with bunk beds and trundle, but our kids loved sleeping on the swinging bed on the deck. The 3rd floor living room and dining area each had plenty of seating. The kitchen was stocked with top of the line products and organized beautifully. The large pantry was a great bonus. The upstairs bedroom with trundle was excellent for teenagers. Each bedroom has access to the deck on their respective level. The elevator was an excellent amenity! The only slight downfall is location. While it was perfect for most, my mother struggled with the distance from the beach. We did have to drive her to the shared beach access point (across the street one block, then down three houses). At this access, you have to go up a few stairs, down a few different sets of stairs, then walk down a large dune. If you have lots of things to bring to the beach or need easier access, I would suggest driving down a block to the public access. It's much less cumbersome to transport items from there. Overall, we would return to this home yearly (and more if we could!). After eight years of renting through VRBO, this is by far the nicest home we've ever stayed in!

Perfect
This vacation was perfect, from booking the house, communication with the owner, the house was excellent with everything already there that you need for the beach. More than enough room for everyone to have their own privacy. All the amenities of the home were awesome. Definitely give this vacation and the property five stars! Hopefully to book this property again soon.

Retreat on Cape San Blas
We found this house to be very comfortable, clean and well furnished with multiple amenities. Built in three stories, the convenient elevator is perfect for transporting luggage and groceries to the upper levels. We loved the spacious and attractively appointed rooms. With inflation making dining out almost too expensive, we found cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and eating at home a perfect money saving alternative. It’s a short 1 1/2 block walk west to the beach or east to the bay. If you prefer privacy, the fenced back yard is a grassy alternative to the sandy beach. To top it all off, the third story balcony gives a bird’s eye view of the bike path and ocean. And what beautiful sunrises and sunsets! We’ll likely return to Cape San Blas and will seek this house as one of our first choices.
