Overall, we had a good stay! The room was clean and comfortable, although there were a few areas that could have used a little more attention. Nothing major or enough to negatively impact our stay. The staff was friendly, parking was convenient, and everything went smoothly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Rochester. They claim to have “quiet hours” in the evening but they don’t enforce it. We were in a room on the first floor and could not relax or sleep in our room because of the noise coming from the bar and guests outside. There is no staff on site in the evenings. I called the hotel’s main number for help with this issue and spoke with someone who couldn’t care less about the problem. If you think you’re getting a quaint, quiet, boutique hotel - you’re wrong. They would rather be selling fancy mixed drinks to locals than be accommodating to their hotel guests. At $350/night it’s just disgusting the way we were treated.

We like that it was all inclusive. We wished there could have been cream for the coffee and possibly an earlier check-in (we arrived at 2 and were told that check-in was at 3).

The Straiter is always amazing

Good clean and affordable accommodations in downtown Durango. Just a block away from the Durango Silverton railroad and a couple blocks into the downtown commercial area.
