“The Island Bear is a wonderful place to base a trip to Islay. It is situated at the center of town in Bowmore. The owners are very attentive and nice to talk with. The rooms are modern and very clean. Highly recommend! ”

“Our stay in this hotel was superb! Our host Allan is a wonderful, helpful and informative host at hand to answer any questions regarding the island and surrounding areas. Breakfast is prompt, plentiful and delicious with a good menu to choose from. The rooms are all well appointed, superbly clean and comfortable. We will stay at this Guest House again!”

“Sue and Warren are excellent hosts! The room was well decorated and very comfortable! We were met by Sue who walked us through all of the room information. Breakfast was offered in the morning and it was delicious! Seriously our best stay in our whole time in Scotland!”
