Cottage retreat in wooded secluded private grounds

"Accommodation was the perfect balance of cosy and modern. It was immaculately presented and very well equipped. We received a warm welcome on our arrival, including a gift of homemade shortbread and some locally made whisky. Tilly, the dog, dropped in to hello too and visited us daily and was absolutely no trouble at all. The accommodation is in an ideal location which made days away very easy and accessible. I would definitely wish to stay again and would highly recommend this holiday home."

"We had a really great time at the cottage, because of the Covid situation we didn’t eat out but took everything with us to make meals in for the week. Every utensil we needed was in the cottage. We have 2 dogs and they loved it too, the garden was big and all enclosed so they could just roam. We loved sitting watching the birds and the squirrels visiting the various feeding stations in the garden and the hot tub was amazing after walking for miles each day exploring the area. All in all we...

The floors were dirty, we put the fluffy rugs to one side as they looked liked they had not been hoovered for a long time and had loads of bits in them. Mould on walls in one of the bedrooms, windows and sills not cleaned (lots of dead insects). Kitchen cleaned around the appliances only by looks of it. If a deep and thorough clean could...

"Lovely cottage which made a great base and we would return.Good value and well equipped - particularly comfortable beds!Families with young children / pets should be aware that the cottage fronts onto the main road through the village so a bit of extra awareness is needed when entering/ existing the cottage."
