Sunset Square Shopping Center Tours

Nice property. Superb location. We walked to the square/ Walmart Museum, dinner Onyx etc. BE ALERT, though. THIS IS A CONCEPT HOTEL. Our bed was a murphy bed from the wall. The room was small– no issue– but obviously the mattress is different and there is no space on one side. Two small "wet" compartments: one WC, the other shower. Imagine closets. Not for everyone, but maybe for longer stay folks working with Walmart. Super cool, but not the most comfortable.

From the outside, the hotel appears cute, kitschy, and eclectic. Upon entry, you are greeted by an aesthetic and unique lobby and bar area. That’s pretty much where things stop being great. Upon entering room 400, the first thing that assaulted my senses was the smell of stagnant must. To mitigate this, I turned in the AC (which worked beautifully). The room itself was a hodgepodge of mismatched decor with no cohesive theme or motif. The wall paint was dingy and faded, baseboards were filthy, door and door trims were scuffed, and the bathroom door would not close and could not be locked. Several other issues were present as well including: non functioning bedside outlets/ ports, a weak toilet that wouldn’t flush properly, and uncomfortable beds. The AC was strong, and the shower was hot. Unfortunately, this property missed the mark and doesn’t do the Hilton brand justice.

Very clean and restaurant on property was excellent too! Highly recommend.
