(118 reviews) This hotel has a great beach location. Although we couldn't go into the ocean because of jellyfish allegedly. The sea is best for surfing and water sports not so much relaxing. Pools were fine. The rooms were in need of repairs, first room we found mold and they didn't move us until the next day. Second room was better but showers were leaking, air conditioner smelt of mildew. There is only one restaurant and the food was good but the service was slow, the server had to come back many times to re-take our order. Generally staff was friendly. due to the rooms I wouldn't stay here again, I would probably rent an Air B&B in the area instead next time. Hammock on the deck takes alot of space where some decent seating and a small table might be. Great view of the park and street activity. Location is not know to Uber. Early morning coffee is available. Paid for morning breakfast with room online ... used 1 of 2 breakfasts, no credit offered. Breakfast quality is reasonable and tasted good. Staff are probably best asset at this property. They try very hard to make guests welcome amd comfortable. I did not feel like was being worked for an expected tip at all. (97 reviews) Brand new property with clean spacious rooms. Ample storage in the room and large bathroom with walk in shower and Molton brown toiletries. There was complimentary bottled water although the tap water is safe to drink, and 6 complimentary coffee pods a day. The yoga instructor was excellent and the yoga was complimentary 9am Thursday to Monday on a roof terrace on the spa. There is a roof terrace bar with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with complimentary drinks for guests each evening 5pm to 7pm which was a really nice touch. All the staff are professional and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent quality and lots of variety. The dinners in the terra vegetarian restaurant and tempo restaurants were excellent quality. We didn’t eat in fuego so can’t comment on that. The food prices are at the higher end but all great quality. We paid around $70-80 for 2 people for 2 courses each and 1 drink each. Our only criticism was the room rate included breakfast however we were charged extra ($30 for 2) for a takeout breakfast on the day we had an early pick up for a trip out with a guide which was a bit steep given the room rate. There were lots of birds in the area and the hotel could attract many to the gardens/grounds if the hummingbird feeders were regularly replenished (they were practically empty our full 5 day stay).
