Create your own souvenirs, savor herb-infused spirits and explore the famous Woodinville Wine District in this craft-focused city.

Beautiful Bothell is one of Washington state’s prettiest cities and a hub for craft beer and liquor in the region. Hike a trail along the scenic Sammamish River and wander around town to find streets lined with diverse shops, bars and restaurants.

Sit at a cozy café on Main Street and enjoy a cake and coffee in the center of town. The surrounding streets are populated by restaurants, bars and bargain outlets. Scour the town’s thrift stores in search of discount books, well-priced vintage handbags, toys and fashion items.

Lounge around on the grassy lawns of the Park at Bothell LandingOpens in a new window. Visit the 19th-century log cabin that once housed Swedish immigrants Andrew and Augusta Beckstrom and inspect Bothell’s first schoolhouse, a quaint building that dates back to 1885. The park is also home to the Bothell Historical Museum. See the city skyline at its best on a kayak tour of the Sammamish River.

Head to Country Village outdoor shopping area to try various craft activities. Create your own jewelry using colorful beads and precious stones. Make a quilt at the sewing station, take a figure drawing class and sample soothing teas.

The area around Bothell is renowned for its craft beers, spirits and wines. Try pale ales and lagers of all varieties at local breweries within minutes’ drive of downtown. Stop by the Woodinville Whiskey Company to taste their premium malt whiskey or sip on the herb-infused spirits of the Pacific Distillery. Bothell is about a 15-minute drive from the Woodinville Wine District, where award-winning wineries sell reasonably priced bottles.

Golf lovers can practice their game by Sammamish Lake at the Inglewood Golf Course. The city’s indoor trampoline park offers more high-energy thrills. Improve your kitchen skills with a cooking class at Dawn’s Candy and Cake, which specializes in delicious sweets.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Afternoons outside are very busy, especially during the week as Ballard High School is across the street, but once the traffic cleared out we were able to park our car right out front.

As with most of the surrounding area the traffic is terrible. This is pretty much due to the fact that the streets have no pattern or reason to how they were laid out.
