We booked this last minute, and while the location is very nice, the name is a bit misleading. It’s not actually "on the lake". Our “lakefront view” offered only a small glimpse of water in the distance through the trees, and there’s no direct lake access unless you drive through the neighborhood. Be sure to check operating hours—the lodge was closed during our stay, so we didn’t get the full experience. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the mattress was excellent, however, there are no elevators. Golfers will likely appreciate the course.

The beds were so low to the floor. My husband who has bad knees took a while to get up in the morning. There was no full box frame, and it was placed directly on the floor. The carpet in the middle of the room was old and filthy, and there was an old sock from someone else on the chair in the room. I did not notice the sock until I was leaving, since my suitcase was on it.

Staff was well trained from the valet to the front desk.
