4 Star Hotels in Puerto Vallarta

We stay at the Grand Marimar for two weeks and we truly enjoy our stay. At the beginning we thought it was too far from the beach but we found a path to walk down to the beach where all the action was. We like the beach but we were happy to get back to the quiet of our hotel at the end of the day.

Excellent staff that worked very hard to make our stay an enjoyable one. Fortunately, their knowledge of English was much better than our Spanish. The only downer to our stay was that we were given a room with two double beds for the first two nights, when on our reservation we had requested a king.

this was my second time staying at this hotel and I am very pleased. I don't think that I would stay anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta.

We have stayed at other Fiesta Americana resorts in Mexico but overall layout, room comfort and staff friendliness made this our best experience with this hotel chain to date.

Great resort with a low key feel. Service is first class and rooms are very modern. We had a little issue once we arrived. They said our floor had water maintenance issues so they put us in the Hilton for two nights. I was upset but it's what we had to do. I personally think they over booked but nonetheless we experienced the Hilton which was nothing like the Sunset Plaza. Sunset Plaza had better rooms, service, and food. The only thing better at the Hilton was the beach because it was bigger. Once we got back to the Sunset they upgraded our room due to the inconvenience and gave us a jacuzzi sweet on the 15th floor, one floor below the Penthouse. The views are incredible from the Sunset Plaza. Very nice place, especially for all inclusive.

The staff, the suite, the convenience, absolutely stupendous ! We highly recommend this space and are already planning to come back for next year!!!! Can't really tell you how great it was....

We were blown away by the lush tropical grounds, koi ponds, roaming peacocks and iguanas. The smells were breathtaking from the flowers growing everywhere. Very clean well cared for facility. Beach was gorgeous but not the best for swimming in or walking (a bit rocky) but the pools are perfect and plentiful.

This was a great hotel. I went down for a friend's wedding and can honestly say that from the time we walked in to the time we walked out, I was very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. I had read some reviews before going, so I curious to see if the concerns other people had were valid. They were not- first, let me say that I was traveling for 3 nights with a friend. We had the "club room oceanfront" package which gave us a beautiful ocean view room (there are no balconies in the building), and included free continental breakfast and then a canape/wine event every evening from 5-8. All other food and drink was charged to my room. This was the perfect arrangement because we could get our juice, coffee, toast, yogurt, fruit, granola, milk, cereal, pastries, etc. in the AM, then eat lunch by the pool, and then eat the canapes for dinner. Now, i know that's not everyone's idea of eating, but it worked for me and my friend. The canapes included chips, guacamole, chicken skewers, eggrolls, and some other appetizer like items that I cannot remember. The prices of the food at the pool was very reasonable. I had the chocken club for 125 peses and chicken quesadilla for 100 pesos. Drinks were about 30 pesos for soda and 50 pesos for beer and 70 pesos for daquiris. Happy hour is from 12-1 and 4-5 so it's 2-1 drinks. Ramon was a great server at the pool area.

The hotel stuff is supremene. Ameneties are comfortable and the views from the room and beach restaurant are remarkable. Lovely times.
