Nice hotel close to Big Sky MTPosted Dec 1, 2013
Our stay was very pleasant. Clean room, comfortable beds and easy to adjust in room heating made our stay very nice. Free breakfast and quiet venue, I recommend this property. Book on Expedia saved me almost $50 per night and I received the same rooms as those in our party that booked direct. Its a nice property, not 5 star but very convenient, clean and comfortable.

Great Food - Comfortable bed!Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Dining room, bed, shower, pet friendly.
Cons: updating of room
Location: We're just traveling through Yellowstone - so much to see there!
The room was a bit warn and needed updating except the bed was wonderful. Food and the "free" breakfast was superb. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were traveling with a pet so was good to find a friendly place. Bathroom was clean but the place felt dank.

A rustic lodge near Big SkyPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The main reason I chose Buck's was that the restaurant received excellent reviews, and the complimentary breakfast was described as being outstanding.
Location: It is about one mile from the Big Sky ski resorts and about 45 minutes from West Yellowstone.
We arrived around 9 o'clock after a long day at Yellowstone. The restaurant was very accommodating in changing our reservations because of our late arrival. Dinner was outstanding! My son had bison steak, I had the fresh trout, and my husband had pheasant. What an assortment! Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu as well as the area around Big Sky. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped with whatever you need. The outdoor fireplace, with real crackling logs, was a wonderful place to enjoy that last glass of wine. The rustic setting is perfect for the location! There is a lovely wedding garden with beautiful flowers. Oh, and certainly, you will not want to miss the complimentary breakfast, which is an entire buffet with fresh pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, and other delicious items. Not sure what brand coffee they served, but it was wonderful. Overall, I highly recommend Buck's if you are passing through the area.

Room was okay, Restaurant OutstandingPosted Sep 11, 2013
We took a last minute weekend getaway, and ended up at Buck's. Decent price for the area..., rustic, nice grounds. The room was nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about. The hot water took awhile to reach us... That having been said, the resaurant was a fabulous surprise. It is prettty unassuming when you first walk in, but the service, the wine list and the food are all excellent. I found out later that the restaurant is a Big Sky tradition. It's a good one.
