"A nice hotel for the price."
We booked this hotel before our cruise. When we got to the hotel after our cruise we were told we had to wait for a room to be available! 5 hours we waited! Then when the bellhop brought our luggage to the room I asked how far it would be to the nearest convenience store, he told me and I asked if it was safe for me to walk there. He told me to just call the front desk and he would give a ride there as it was quite a walk. I thanked him and a little later walked to the main building and asked to see Juan as he had offered to give me a lift to the store. The desk clerk, a young short haired woman made a big deal out of that the vehicles were for onsite use only! I told her whatever, I hadn't asked about a ride, it WAS offered! She still seemed annoyed about this but finally some other person showed up and did give me the lift and back, this was appreciated! I just didn't care for the snotty attitude of this person! She made something out of nothing! Also I had asked for change from two $20 bills & they could only break one! Wow! A big fancy place like this and no cash! The bed for being a king size wasn't all that comfortable! The room was super nice! We did have lunch there while we waited for a room, it was very good and the gentleman serving us at the bar across the pool from the main building was excellent! I'm sorry, I don't remember his name, but he was super!

"Super chill adult only getaway."
My girlfriend and I stayed here two nights, Friday and Saturday. This was after we stayed one night in South Beach and three nights down in the Keys. Maybe it was just timing on the particular crowd that weekend but we found this place to be quite low key for a hotel that does not allow children and advertises itself constantly as "an adult playground" This was not a problem for us because we had just the opposite experiences in South Beach and the Keys where the people watching was quite interesting. If the fact there is a coed spa, and topless sunbathing is allowed here makes you uncomfortable, I would say don't worry, everyone is well behaved and clothed at all times. We observed nothing but mature, restrained conduct and dress. There were some loud guest, sounded like a party, Friday night to about 2am but we feel asleep regardless. I saw in some other reviews complaints about the staff. We had the opposite experience. The staff at the pool, bayside dinning, bar, café, spa and front desk were very helpful and always accessible. Even the valet parking attendants were very pleasant. A+ here. The rooms are adequate, a little dated but enough there to be comfortable. There is a full mini bar in the room with everything from condoms to candy and numerous beers, wines, champagnes and harder drinks. We never left the hotel grounds as the food was pretty good and on the healthy side, slightly expensive but not too bad where we felt the need to venture out. Spa=relax.
