Canal Hotel is an excellent hotel in every way. Staff so polite and helpful. Will come back again.
Room brilliant, clean and great facilities. The garden was a dream after a busy day walking in Amsterdam.
Breakfast relaxed and a good choice on offer.
Coffee machine in room very welcome.

Beautiful location. Close to many restaurants and little shops. 20 min. or less walk to all the main museums (Rijks, Anne Frank, bus tour pick-up...) Friendly and helpful staff (Told me where I could get good food. Brought me an adapter for my plug because I forgot). Highly recommend it!

The Royal Amsterdam Hotel is perfectly located in the center of Amsterdam in Rembrandtplein (a small square that contains many of Amsterdam's bars, clubs, and restaurants catering to tourists). Despite the happening location, the room was quiet and offered a good view of the square and city. The hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from Centraal Station or a 10 minute ride on the #4 streetcar line. All of the front desk staff I encountered were friendly and professional. Yes, the standard rooms are a tad small compared to US standards, but it's Europe people (plus you shouldn't be spending too much time in your room anyway)! The bathroom was surprisingly good-sized and the shower had glass doors. The "I Am Amsterdam" sign, museums, Red Light District, Centraal Station, and most areas of interest are all pretty much within a 15 minute walk. Another plus is that I was able to check in 2 hours early the day arrived. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I checked into the Dylan for a couple of leisure days before a business meeting. We found the hotel very close to many attractions and near the heart of Amsterdam activity. We rented bikes for a day from the hotel (a must), walked the streets and alleys through the heart Amsterdam city center and dined at both hotel and other restaurants and cafe's in the area. We found the hotel very clean and with modern amenities. We would chose this property again on our next trip.

The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
