“great location”
its right in the middle of down town chicago, with a pretty good price range
“Small but nicely located”
Stay here if you do not plan to hang out in your room. The rooms are small but they are clean, updated and comfortable.
“very good location”
This Hotel is very covenient to most all attractions. Staff was very helpful. Short walk to catch subway to airport. Great view of the river.
“Awesome Hotel”
Great hotel very clean. Mattress was a little firm for my wife, but I thought it was great. Great location, i would stay here again when in Chicago.
“Great location”
Great location. Took train from ORD, 5 blocks from hotel. Right on the river. Conference hotels were nearby so hotel shuttle to McCormick place was convenient.
“Great Location and Historic Character”
Great place to stay as an alternative to the characterless downtown conference hotel, and a better rate. Rooms are small, but well organized and efficient. The lobby amenities are perfect for visiting business people and there are some interesting features like a refillable water bottle station on each floor (great idea!) and irons and ironing boards in a cupboard in the hallway, instead of taking up valuable space in the room. Vintage building has very few rooms on each floor and I didn't hear any noise from the rooms next door, across the hall or on the level above. Best of all is the perfect location in the heart of Chicago, right across from the river and some of Chicago's most photogenic buildings.
“Room Too Small”
Room was barely big enough for 1 person & there was 2 of us in the room. We were constantly in each others way! I can see why they made rooms smaller so they can have more rooms but in the process they've made it so no one will want to go there again! Bad idea!!!!
“WOW!!!! Great Place to Stay!”
Great Location!!!! Wacker and Michigan, Looking Down on the Chicago River. CONVENIENT to Everything! Great Staff- PROFESSIONAL, Courteous, Attentive. Very Helpful. Rooms are a bit Small, if you were a family of say 3 or 4 or more, a Single Room could be a bit smaller than one would like, BUT, as a single person staying for Business Purposes, then This Was Ideal!!! Bed was Comfortable, Right Size for a 6ft 2 inch person. Restaurant Affiliated with the Hotel (Bella Baccino) was Similarily Great, for Lunch and Dinner! Thanks.
“I would go back to this Hotel”
Other than parking, I had a great experience at this Hotel.
“More training for staff is needed”
The desk staff has little eye contact, come across as being bothered when i checked in and out. The bathroom shower tile not clean and same goes for the floor. It was dirty when i checked in and same when I left. The bed sheets are too small for the bed. First day sheets were soiled and still were put on the bed. I checked my bags in in the morning. Upon returning to collect at 3 pm I witnessed a femeal guest bleeding from her foot. Reaction and action were in slow motion. blood all over the floor, staff stepped in it and the only clean up effort were 2 dry towel rags placed on the floor. Once that was done, many people looked at it and no one made effort to clean by time I left 45 minutes later. Female exec took report in the back and passed through area and no action. More training for exec staff needed. My special request fora non-smoking room was not noted and took 5 minutes of key strokes till clerk managed to get the right room.
