“a 1950's motel”
Though location in add was misleading, saying it was in town when it is actually 4 miles from downtown, the place itself is in a nice quiet location. There are no real amenities, but everything there worked and was clean. The staff was friendly but it is definitely more of an old fashioned motor inn than a modern motel. I will stay there again.
“Not recommended...”
I chose this motel due to the good rating (3 1/2 stars) and reasonable price. It is located at least five miles from town - not convenient unless you're familiar with the area. The rooms, although clean, are very old and reminicent of a cabin. The walls are thin; don't even try to sleep in! Although pets aren't allowed, a dog (possibly the owner's shepherd) barked non-stop from 3-4am! Don't waste your money here.
“You get what you pay for.”
Shabby bed and bath linens...not even sure they had been changed. Room smelled...even with the window open. The window was open when I arrived, even though there were snow flurries!
