Runaway Beach Club is located within a few miles of Orlando's theme parks and less than 3 miles from both Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and the Arabian Nights Dinner Theater.

There's plenty to do on the grounds of the resort as well. A clubhouse offers a 24-hour fitness room with cardio and strength-training equipment, as well as a 24-hour business center. The resort also has an indoor basketball half-court, a South Beach-style pool and poolside tiki bar, a family pool, and an 8,000-gallon spa tub. Poolside evening movies are offered three time per week, weather permitting.

Guests can play in two outdoor pools: a family pool with shallow waters, and a South Beach-style pool with white deck chairs, bright-blue cushions, and umbrellas. A full-size indoor basketball court and a 24-hour fitness center are also on site.

Golfers can visit Falcon's Fire Golf Club, just 2 miles from the resort. Known as one of Orlando's best public golf courses, Falcon's Fire offers a par-72, 18-hole course as well as practice greens, a chipping area, driving range, and clubhouse.

“Mike Ditka- Really”

Accomodations were OK. Staff was Friendly. Ceiling fans & AC vents were dirty. If you stay here you better bring your own pillows & blankets. It took several requests and days to get pillows for the fold out couches for the kids.

“GREAT PRICE - GREAT PLACE!!”

This is a great spot to land after a day in the parks or even just to lounge around for the day. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back. Staff is so accomodating and everything was clean and comfortable. Full kitchen saves alot of money!!

“Not what we expected”

We were dissapointed to learn that things that are usually included in your stay was an extra fee. We could not get large trash bags, toilet paper or soap, so we had to go buy that stuff. The blankets they brought us were thin and very cheaply made. The TV's are the old glass tube type and not the modern flat screens. The legs on our couch were missing so every time you pulled out the bed it was like wrestling an alligator. The website stated our room would sleep six. But with only one bedroom and a broken fold out couch I don't see where the other two people were supposed to sleep.

“Continues to please”

Third visit to the Runaway Beach Resort, and as in the past have left very pleased with the overall stay. Each visit we've stayed in a two bedroom villa, and the kids just love the space and homey atmosphere, and still very close proximity to the major parks. You really can't beat the price either. Any issues are taken care of quickly and with courteous friendly attention. Only negative comment I have is that the resort is starting to show its age, most notably by the cracked kitchen counter during this past visit. Still an overall pleasant stay, and would recommend Ditkas to anyone. We'll definitely be returning.

“Very relaxing atmosphere”

This hotel is located right across the street from a wal-mart for your grocery needs. The room was very clean. The entire resort was quiet and made for a very relaxing atmosphere. They don't have everything you might need in a kitchen such as dish clothes and towels, and you might need to buy extra toulet paper for extended stays, but those are small expenses compared to having those items provided to you at other hotels. Lastly, the hotel is just a few blocks away from old town and a few miles away from the disney parks area. Overall, it's a great place to stay with your family.

“Our second stay, first with a child”

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was ok. We were disappointed that we had to supply our own dish soap and toliet paper (supplied with 2 rolls). The room was fairly clean with a couple of dead lizards under the couches. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. We also got a room with a lot of stairs, not good for a 2 year old. This place was ok when we didnt have kids but I would rather do to a disney resort from now on.

“Fun times!”

This place is very nice, and was very well maintained. In the future, they'll need to update things like TVs and such, but it was clean and has very pretty surroundings. It's very close to Disney, and easy access to Universal and other attractions. It is a place that you should plan on taking your own supplies to though. You get "starter" things, but that's about it. I would definitely return to stay here. Very pleasant, and I got a great deal on Expedia!!
