Nice PlacePosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a nice B&B. Comfortable bed, nice shower and good breakfast. Quiet surroundings (well, all of Panaca is pretty quiet). Don't forget to check out Cathedral Gorge State Park (1 mile away) and the Silverton Cafe in Pioche (11 miles away).

B & B w/o the staffPosted Jun 18, 2013
Pros: It was cute.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Cathedral George State Park is 1 mile away. There are towns about 12 miles in either direction. Panaca does not allow gambling or alcohol sales.
This was my first B & B experience and I heard it is not normally like this place. The owners do not live at the house, so when you arrive you have to call a number to have someone come let you into the house. The house was cute and comfortable, but it seemed weird to not have anyone there if you had a problem or question. The downstairs, where our room was, only has a 6'5" ceiling which we did not know going into it. That can be problematic when you are 6'3". When we came back in the evening, the house was completely dark and it was hard to see the steep stairs leading to the downstairs. You don't see the owner until breakfast time at 8am. There was a lovely patio outside furnished with tables and chairs so we chose to have breakfast out there. The owners seemed a little put-out by that and even went as far as to shut the door on us and tell us that most people eat inside. The morning was gorgeous and there were tables outside, we wanted to enjoy that. The breakfast was a small portion of eggs, sausage, muffin and an undercooked pre-formed hashbrown. The parking is confusing and there were cars everywhere. It is the only lodging in Panaca and the closest hotels are about 12 miles away.

The backway to Las VegasPosted Jun 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
On our way home from the Great Basin NP, the only listed accommodation was the Pine Tree Inn. Our only problem was with 'check-in' and there being no one there, this being a bed & breakfast in a residential area. A phone number to call was listed on the front door. My T-Mobile cell phone would not connect. Situation was finally resolved. Friendly staff and we had a wonderful breakfast.

we enjoyed a lovely night here at the pine tree inn. it is advisable to eat before you arrive in town as there are no restaurants and the only shop in town has very little selection. we were given a lovely cooked breakfast before we checked out.

Great place for a quiet getawayPosted Aug 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Carol - the owner - was very friendly & obliging during our stay and cooked us a brilliant breakfast in the morning. Stayed in the cabin (near new) with full facilities including fridge & microwave. Only downside was the town has no dining facilities and we had to buy groceries at the general store & cook them in the micro. Otherwise 5/5

Quiet and Relaxing Place to StayPosted Jul 11, 2012
This is a nice, quiet bed and breakfast in a very small town. We really enjoyed the peace, but were surprised that there was no where in town to get dinner other than the tiny grocery store down the street. The owner was very hospitable and warned us to get some food before the store closed at 6 p.m. and use the kitchen in the b & b. As we were the only ones staying in the inn, it was very quiet. We went to bed early. The breakfast in the morning was really lovely.
