Windsor Asturias Hotel
3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1000)
"The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The property is older and the room we stayed in was not sound proof. We could hear everything the guests in the room next door were doing and saying. We could also hear the showers from the room upstairs and the one next door; which sounded like a freight train was going through our room. The only thing the “gym” had were two treadmills, one of which was out of order."

"Average hotel for the region, average price. Large room with comfortable bed, though the A/C unit is fairly undersized and takes 1-2 hours to chill to any reasonable temperature. Shower had a general heating issue (affecting other rooms) and the front desk didn't take us seriously when we reported it in the afternoon (understandable-ish, who takes hot showers in Rio anyway? Other rooms didn't report it) and only realized something was really wrong far later when it was already evening and it was...

"I chose this hotel because of it's location to the cruise port. This was a mistake. When the hotel warns you to stay in the lobby until your taxi/uber arrives tells you about the area. Should have stayed in Copacabana. While i had a noisy fan in my room, i did enjoy my stay. Someone complained about the lack of english. While They should have their information manuals translated into English as it is the international travel language. (Just go to Tokyo to see the signs are in English). It...

Novotel RJ Santos Dumont

"One night stopover convenient for SDU airport (although our flight was cancelled suddenly), and our airline took us to GIG. We were given a room that was comfortable but sadly the bathroom had a snag list as long as your arm. 1 no door architrave on inside. 2 Mirror light hanging free suspended by it’s wires. 3 No vent grille on extractor, just a big hole (and the thing didn’t cut out at all. 4 Towel rail so loose we dare not hang a towel on it. 5 Shower soap dispenser completely empty. Avoid...

"Good and unexpesive option in the Downtown Area, easy for public transportation. On the downside, internet didn't work in the room, which was a boomer, so there was an option of using it downstairs in a common area. "
