“We stayed at a historic hotel near Pikes Peak, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The property is full of vintage charm and classic character. While the atmosphere has an old-fashioned feel, everything — from the surroundings and room cleanliness to the attentive service — made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. We would happily return again. The nearby Old Town area is unique and full of character, perfect for strolling and exploring. Our favorite spot was Manitou……

“The front desk staff were not friendly upon checkin. They were talking to each other and totally ignored us as we stood there, waiting to check in. Upon check-out, at 10:30am, there was no one at the front desk. We ate breakfast at the hotel, but unfortunately, my wife's rye toast was moldy. Yes, moldy. It was readily apparent to us, so why the people in the kitchen didn't notice is strange. Of course they comped her meal, but it was definitely off-putting. While we might stay at this hotel……

“The breakfast was incredible. Fresh, hot homemade baked French toast, pistachio chocolate cake, fresh fruit salad. Arlene is an amazing cook and a fascinating person.”

“Hotel is like a maze. Certain elevators connect only to certain rooms. If you're on the 4th floor you have to use a wheelchair lift to get there unless you want to drag your suitcases up a flight of stairs. Layout was weird and confusing. Stained glass windows are sagging out of their frames and there is gum in the window wells on the 4th floor. Lobby is beautiful, but fireplace puts out no heat and it's cold in there. This is a biking city and elevators are so small, you can't bring your……
