"Ok hotel that's in walking distance of museums. "
Room was very small, and the pillows were so big that you could wake up with neck cramps. The shower had hair in it along with hair in the sheets. Don't look at what's under the flat sheet because those stains are the things of nightmares. I do appreciate the updates in the room such as the floor and paint job. The room is a bit pricy for the condition and size, but if you're wanting to be in waking distance of attractions then this hotel is fine for that, as long as you can look past its negative features.

"Pretty Nice Experience "
This is a nice hotel in a nice location. The hotel staff was great. Unfortunately our room had a view of the hotel's huge AC unit, so really no view at all on the second floor. Also, when we checked out we had to wait 30+ minutes for the valet to bring our car around (it's supposed to take 10-15 minutes max). After 20 minutes of waiting I asked the man at the hotel in charge of valet services to check and make sure our car was coming, which he did not, but instead assured us if we called ahead (which we did) our car was on its way. We waited another 10 minutes before one of the runner valet's realized they had not gone to get our car yet. So I would say for the hefty price it costs to park in this hotel's garage overnight, it's not worth waiting 30 minutes to get your car back. That was very disappointing. Otherwise the hotel stay was nice.

"Wonderful hotel, beautiful decor, checkin a hassle"
We had a lovely stay, for the most part. The check-in process was a bit of a drag. They required a $200 security swipe of a credit card, and since I only had my debit card, they wanted to DEBIT my account $200 and refund the money afterwards. I've never heard of this happening. Luckily a colleague was able to swipe her credit card for me, but imagine she was not there? I would be short $200 cash for the duration of my stay!

"Decent hotel for the price"
Very old style... Very old things... At least now the TVs are more modern than the one in the picture. Definitely bed bugs even outside of the bed... Come prepared to put everything in a bag and do not bring them into your home. The only reason I stayed here is because I was on a budget during conference time that I booked for late. But, if you can afford not to stay here, or can find a better hotel for the same price by booking ahead of time, then do so. It was okay because I only used the hotel for sleeping, only spent 8 hours there, sleeping and getting ready. The TVs have Comcast but if you want to watch on demand movies (the ones for free), you can't because no one knows the password. The showers were pretty clean fortunately. However, the towels seemed old as they were pretty tough and washed out. Also, the blankets in the closet had holes in them. I kept freaking out because I thought the holes were giant bed bugs but thankfully those appeared clean. The wifi is also weak... For the pros: within walking distance of Adams Morgan's, close to bus stops to get to museums, cheap, and decent breakfast (always on time). Also had an old but functional fridge and iron --- but dysfunctional coffee maker and hair dryer. Honestly, this place would be great if they invested more on cleaning the carpets, getting new towels and blankets, changing the bulbs, etc.
