"Nice and Convenient for NYU"
Very nice place close to NYU. Only two cons. First was the inevitable "Expedia Special" which always seem to mean we "Give them the worst room in the hotel." Second was the drunk ladies from a wedding walking the halls squealing and giggling like school girls for an hour at 3am. Called the front desk and there was no one to be found to help. I'll go back, but won't book through Expedia and maybe we'll get a little more respect.

"Beautiful W right off Wall Street!"
The view from the spectacular room, is well worth it, let alone the over ambience of this W, both in the lobby and in your room. The 5th Floor deck is also a great hangout spot, whether it's with a cup of coffee at sunrise or a cocktail at sunset.

"Great location"
I spent 7 nights at this hotel and was very pleased with the location. It is near to most of the attractions at a walking distance. Most important, it is near to grand central station (about 5-6 blocks) and there is a subway station at 2.5 blocks. The rooms rooms are not the most comfortable but perfect to sleep after a busy day. We shared bathroom but it was surprisingly clean at all times. Hotel staff are ok, they could be more nice but it was ok

"Nice hotel close to family we were visiting."
Only one negative thing to say and that was the late at night noise of either construction or removal of street debris?? We could never figure out what the cause of this noise was but, it woke us up several times during the nights we were there.

Solo trip in NYC. Hotel in great location and has a really kooky feel to it, different to any other hotel I've stayed in! I had basic cabin room which was tiny, but I was out most days and it was relatively comfortable just for sleeping. The staff were really helpful. Sure it's been said before but does feel like walking into the Grand Budapest Hotel, in a good way. The shared bathrooms are not ideal but as long as you know what you're getting yourself in for, it's all fine. Felt safe as a solo female traveller.

"bathroom door"
The bathroom door is a sliding door that never latches. It's always a bit ajar, which is disconcerting in that small space. Free coffee, tea, and bottled water were very nice features! Close to the Metro for easy access. Staff pleasant. Room clean and beds very comfortable!
