"Good hotel in a lovely location"
We returned to Richmond where we were married many years ago for our anniversary. Our hotel was perfectly located in a favourite spot of ours, at the top of Richmond Hill and next to Richmond Park. Reception staff were kind and, as they were able to, they gave us a free upgrade to a lovely room with a view at the front.

"Central London on the Strand"
Stayed here for the Championships (Wimbledon). LOTS of things to do in this part of London. A little bit congested as you would expect for a large metropolitan area. Taxi rank and service are incredible and absolutely first class at this hotel. If you want to visit London and don't want to rent a car, have NO fears here. Newly renovated and stunning architecture; surprisingly very affordable. Eateries are more of the formal variety although they highly encourage in-room dining with room service with a very large variety of food.

"Great location and an erg."
The location - steps from St. Paul's Cathedral - is fantastic. One can also take a short walk to Millennium Bridge and across to Tate Modern. As a rower, I was also thrilled that there is a Concept 2 erg; although an older model, it was still in good shape, and the fitness center itself is fairly comprehensive. Bonus #2: there is a free launderette in the building (but be prepared as there is only one washing machine and dryer). The stars deduction is because there should probably be some updating, especially carpeting, and staff was not as diligent as one might want or expect. Housekeeping didn't replenish toiletries, and although when we checked out, we confirmed with the front desk staff that we would be waiting in the lounge for our car to the airport if the driver couldn't find us, instead hotel staff told the driver we had checked out and were gone ... even though I was sitting within eye shot of the lobby and front door with a bunch of luggage. Staff apparently said "he" left already, and although I really don't mind whatever pronoun people assign me, doing so may have made the driver look right past me. I can't explain the myopia, but it made us late to the airport. I might stay at this hotel again, but I wouldn't rely on staff for anything important.

"Nice hotel in Central London"
My stay was quite short but this was one of several hotels in which I stayed over the course a week. This was, by far, the nicest, most modern, clean and upscale of the hotels in which I stayed. The staff was quick and helpful. From hailing me a cab to checking on events in the city, they were helpful beyond my expectations. I definitely intend to stay there again!

"Convenient location, comfortable beds"
Whilst the hotel isn't something to write about, it's still a hotel which has good service, clean rooms, good housekeeping and a convenient location. The only thing to note is that because it is based in the city, a lot of the shops nearby are closed on the weekend, however, Spitalfields is less than a 10 minute walk away or Bank station is very close which will take you to somewhere else in London.

"Good hostel, but noisy on weekends."
Good sized room and bathrooms/showers were good. Nice hostel and love the free breakfast. I liked the location, which was right next to the DLR station. Was noisy on weekends and karaoke nights since it was directly above the bar.
