OK - very "sketchy" area!

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The modern rooms!
Location: The location is not the greatest! There appears to be low income housing on the street behind and beside the hotel. Did not feel safe day or night!
Hotel Parking is a block away at the Ramada Inn! Not very convenient! Room, however and the hotel staff were pleasant!

Cons: Guest parking
Spend only one night. Room is clean and recently updated. Hotel staff was very helpful. Only thing this hotel don't have is parking lot. We park down the street on public parking lot.

Fine for the price

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Location and price.
Location: You are near a lot of downtown locations, which I liked. I just walked and walked, and enjoyed my limited amount of leisure time.
For me the hotel was fine for the price as I needed to be close to a Ryerson facility on Jarvis as I didn't want a long walk or to have to take a taxi every morning and evening. I also liked that I was close to Young and Dundas. The room was small but adequate. It appears to be an older building that was renovated. The included breakfast is OK at best, but it was fine for me.

Alright hotel. Close to downtown

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: The night guy, the comfort of the bed, access to wifi and air conditioning, and having a coffee machine.
Cons: Friendliness and getting towels to customers at a comforting time, not when people want to be sleeping.
Location: Not many taxi drivers knew where it was. About 15 minutes from rogers centre, CN tower and aquarium. 10 minute walk to Eaton Centre.
Showing up to the hotel was amazing, the night guy was friendly and made conversation. Walking up the stairs to our room, the hallways smelled foul and there was food stuck to the stairs. It was great to see that you needed keys in order to enter each floor. Walking into the room, it's incredibly tiny. No closet and hardly enough room to fit two suitcases. Bathroom was a decent size and clean. The breakfast room was tiny and not a lot of options for breakfast - plus the eggs were cold. The morning man wasn't nearly as friendly. The last night of our stay we wanted to shower at night but there was no towels available. We went downstairs 3 times to ask for towels and they weren't brought to us until about 10:45 pm. Overall an alright stay but I wouldn't stay again.

Newly renovated room, clean, comfortable beds, modern fixtures in bathroom but overall a smaller room than expected- everything is a tight squeeze. Staff tried to help as the deadbolt wouldn't lock the door, no other room available so we wedged a chair under the handle lol. In the middle of two homeless shelters so make sure your door locks work. Barely compensated for our troubles.

Cons: Breakfast area a bit small, however continental breakfast was excellent.
Location: Great location to get around the city to all the attractions via subway station and walking.
We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed our time in Toronto.

Sufficient hotel

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: Location - two blocks from the closest airport express normal stop, minutes from every area of toronto we were visiting to see.
Cons: Communication between staff members.
Location: Very close to Cabbagetown and the Gay Village - perfect location for world pride week this month (june)
The hotel is in a nice location, within walking distance of great local resources and not too far from bus stops/train stops, etc. Very nice hotel at first glance - the brunch is disappointing, and for some reason the room we stayed in was not cleaned and prepped before our arrival. As a result, hotel staff members repeatedly entered the hotel room without knocking or notice on the day of our arrival - it was eventually sorted out, but it definitely skewed the rest of our experience at the hotel.
