Renaissance Hotel Orlando Airport

Nice hotel; great location.

Had a great one-night stay coming from a late night flight into Orlando Int’l before leaving on a cruise the next morning; great airport location w/ fast/convenient shuttle service. Very nice room, especially the bathroom. Got a great rate from Expedia for pre-paying. Would stay again if got a good deal again-- Regular undiscounted rate seemed a little much.

Great deal

We just stayed one night on our way to get on a cruise, but the hotel was very nice, and especially for the price. Off site restruants were convenient, all in all very pleasent.

Extremely convenient

We needed a hotel near the airport to facilitate our trip home from Orlando. I read some good and some not so good reviews from this site (Expedia reviews). I just have no idea what people want from a hotel. The desk people were curteous and helpful, The breakfast crew were eager to help and customized service and food to our liking. The gentleman who drove us to the terminal was professional. The room was more than adequate for the four adults that stayed the night. A very wired desk, even if there were charges associated with its use.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This is a travellers hotel, not a Disney Resort. A great place for business people and those who prefer a place to sleep after a day of work of play.

Best King Bed Around

Enjoyed our brief stay - most comfortable king bed I’ve ever slept in. Not fond of parking fees each day on top of room rates. Meals a bit expensive, Overall a good stay.

Good outskirts value near airport

Usually hotels near airports seem far away from everything. However, this property is near lots of strip malls (not really my thing, but at least you can get a good cup of joe & have a mani/pedi) and is conveniently located near major interstates. Clearly, the hotel has been recently remodeled. The lobby features a colorful mix of modern meets Asian flare, It feels kind of like a W lobby.

Skip the hotel restaurant, and head to Little Vietnam. Google map this excellent (really it’s worth the 15 min drive) restaurant called Little Saigon. It’s off of Hwy 50/Colonial drive. You’ll love it!

Not impressed

This hotel was not as impressive as we thought it would be. The cleanliness of the room was very good however, the bed needs replacing from years of wear and tear and not to mention the sheets don’t fit. We watch a movie one day and they tried to charge us for watching 21 movies for that same day. What disappointed us was the front desk attendant’s attitude (it wasn’t very good) when we told her that the charges were incorrect. Nevertheless, you must pay $8 a day for parking and be aware of tolls, tolls, tolls. We will definitely look into other hotels on our next visit.

Beautiful Hotel, but lacks great costumer service.

This hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are extremely comfertable; however, the costumer service is lacking. I don’t expect someone to greet me at the door when I walk into the hotel, but I do expect not to have to wait for the staff to finish their conversation to check me in. Also, this hotel doesn’t have hosts at their resturant or bar which would be fine if their were signs that said "Please seat yourself." Even though this hotel lacks helpful signage they do provide you a notebook with vague explanations of what they offer, but don’t answer bottom-line questions like "what time is check out?" or "is their room service?". Then when I went to check out I was quickly helped, but when I asked "What do I do with my room key?" I was curtly cut off with a "bye" and watched the staff member help the person behind me. As I was driving out of the hotel parking lot I still had to drive back to the front and go back to the courtesy desk and repeat "What do you want me to do with my room key?" The staff member looked at me funny and said "Well you were supposed to throw it into the basket by the security gate, but I guess I’ll just take it here." If you are planning on staying in your room during your whole trip, the Renaissance will be perfect, but don’t bother asking the staff for help because they act like they are too busy. (I got better help from the man who delivered our pizza from a local pizza resturant, so my husband and I suggest that you order out).

First time Visiter

large, expansive lobby .. clean rooms ..nice flat screen, roomy bathrooms - free internet service ..NIce place to stay. Only negative was groupf of families with kids that stayed up playing ALL night long. SEcurity could not get to quiet down. Finally parents put them to bed about midnight and had a card game that lasted from 2 - 4:30 am. Security could not control that event, either. Needless to say- there was not sleep had. Other than that - the hotel was above average.

Heading away from the airport, there is a convenient store on the right that does not post gas prices - please pay attention - they are gouging you at about $5.00 a gallon!

Very nice hotel

Beautifully decorated, upscale hotel.

Very good but no wow

This is a very nice hotel with good service. It is about 5 minutes from the airport. It has a nice size outdoor pool and a gym with all new equipment. The pool has both shady and sunny lounging areas. The bar has some good happy hour specials. My breakfast came on time. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are about 8 of the nicer chain restaurants within a block of the hotel. My room didn’t give me the real luxury "wow" feeling that I had at some other hotels I have stayed at recently but it had a big comfortable bed, flat screen TV and internet access. I had the feeling that this used to be an average motel type that is now trying to be a luxury hotel. I would say it is about 1/2 way there!

Very nice experience during my stay

My stay was limited to overnight on a business trip. The hotel is close and convenient to the airport, is nicely appointed and well-maintained, and the room was quite nice. The service at the coffee bar was prompt and helpful, and the room service meal was quite good. Despite my limited experience, I was quite happy with the hotel and would recommend it to business travellers, for sure. I cannot speak to whether it would be a good place to stay with kids (pool and other recreation), but it was perfect for my needs.

Take a taxi from the airport to the hotel -- the off-airport car rental services are further from the airport than the hotel is....

Beautiful!

When we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful decor-it was clear that the hotel was recently remodeled. The check-in was quick and courteous, and the staff upgraded our room when they found out we were on our honeymoon. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were very nice. We went for a swim in the pool, which had lovely cabanas around it. Our room service the next morning was prompt and yummy!! We didn’t want to leave!
