Captain Wohlt Inn Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"The property was easy to find and the room I stayed in was very clean, very comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you could want. I was very impressed and would stay here again. As an extra bonus, they personally provided a large warm cookie at the end of the day on my door to make it an even better experience."
The Hermann Motel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice and clean motel, however, I wish it had been closer to town. From the trailer it is a long walk."
Hermann Crown Suites
8/10 Good
"Loved having live music available in the evenings! Loved the breakfast!"
Cozy Riverview Cottage. 5 minute walk to downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Very cozy and clean cottage on the hill just past the Hermannhof Winery. Everything you need to have a quiet getaway and still be within walking distance to downtown. Perfect weather meant we spent a lot of time outside by the fire pit relaxing and watching the world go by. The hosts were very quick to answer the questions we had once we arrived. My only note to a potential guest would be if you are planning on using the Hermannhof steps to walk downtown, be aware that they kind of blend into the landscaping when you are walking towards them. You have to walk West on 2nd street until it ends at the Hoehn Haus, then they are on your right (North). The top part of the steps looks like landscaping rocks with a handrail before transitioning into traditional concrete steps about halfway down. Not a complaint, just something that took us a little bit to figure out."
Inn at Hermannhof
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in Teresa cottage & loved it. Tasting rooms employees were amazing. Very friendly as well as knowledgeable. Pretty scenery, well preserved historical buildings...nothing but first class everywhere"
Stone Haus Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"The view is amazing and the owners are amazing"
Private Lakefront Log Cabin Near Hermann Wine Country Sleeps 8
10/10 Excellent
"It's a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We had fun just sitting on the porch, making friends with the hummingbirds that came to the feeder, fishing and catching, sitting on the dock, playing cards, and more sitting on the porch. There was an inviting firepit all ready to light up, but we were just too tired to make that happen. We also enjoyed looking at all the interesting decor around the log cabin. I highly recommend it if you're looking for peace and quiet."
Beautiful historic 3 bed 3 bath Guest House w old stone wine cellar!!
10/10 Excellent
"This property absolutely amazed us! We had no idea the level of charm we were booking until we saw for it for ourselves! From the old world wine cellar, complete with the original hand forged hinges! To the old maple floors, exposed old brick, the oak thresholds complete with aged worn spots from years of foot traffic, to exposed hand hewn beams. It had central ac and heat so no issues staying cool in the summer! If your still warm there is plenty of fans around the house. The kitchen and dining area are perfect! You can overlook the street from the kitchen or go the patio outback complete with charcoal grill! The only downsides we saw was only 1 TV, pfft what a down side your there to experience Hermann not watch TV! There are plenty of wine glasses, glasses for lagers, and dishes to just stay in if you chose to cook. The rooms were extremely clean, check in and out is a breeze and the host contacted us and replied quickly before we arrived. There is plenty of towels, linens and extra blankets if you need them so no need to bring yours. The only real issue we encountered was the steps to get in the house. There are steps throughout the inside and outside so if you have mobility issues that can be a concern. We did figure out that the walkway extended to a drive next to the property, probably the garage for the house. Other than that if you like historic and old world charm book this property and enjoy!"
