“El hotel está recién remodelado, bonito y céntrico. Cuando fuimos uno de los ascensores estaba en reparación y entorpecía un poco el flujo de gente subiendo y bajando, pero nada de que preocuparse. El desayuno súper completo aunque no lo cambian, la semana que estuvimos fue siempre el mismo (rico todo lo que había, eso sí). La atención del personal es buena, todos amables y serviciales. Las camas son cómodas y las habitaciones en sí, también. Recomendado”

“The staff are generally friendly. Our first check-in at 3pm at Monte Alegre was smooth by friendly staff. Two days after, we decided to stay two extra days and paid via Expedia. I reached front desk at 8am to inform our extension, the in- charge staff suddenly picky about my reservation displayed name (a English called name) not match my passport name (a Chineses Canadian). The other two staff appeared not willing to help me. I connected to Expedia and made them discussed on my phone. Still i……

“The front desk agents were very helpful and attentive. The called my taxi and help me with my reservation to Christ the Redeemer. One of them even print and rescheduled my reservation!”

“Old and tired property. Noisy rooms with paper-thin walls. The neighbors have a conversation, you will here it all and it will wake you up. Very basic breakfast with egg shells in the scrambled eggs. Not very helpful staff. Bottomline, will never go there again.”

“The property was nice. The room (on 4th floor) had an interesting smell. I thought it smelled like moth repellant or cockroach repellant. But my wife said it smelled like moist mold or something. It wasn’t very bad. Breakfast was very good. The staff was really great. ”

“Río es caótica, la zona me parece insegura o quizá demasiado poblada, el hotel bueno, habitación algo vieja y sus colchones son más esponja, para unas dos noches, vale la pena. Noté mucho extranjero hospedando en el hotel, mucho turista, eso me daba tranquilidad y seguridad. El personal siempre atento y excelente buffet. Hay un supermercado y muchos negocios cercanos. Las actividades y puntos turísticos, era fácil llegar en taxi.”
