“It's a great hotel for the location. Near Cinelandia and Lapa, short ride to several businesses, consulates and Santos Dumont airport. Perfect view of the Sugar Loaf mountain from the rooftop by the pool. Staff was attentive and helped with what they could. However during my stay, the boiler broke down and there was no hot water for several hours into the night, so no hot shower that day. I also was shocked they didn't have a proper business center (with a "business " name and everything). TV……

“This is a very, very old hotel and, in my opinion, it urgently needs a complete renovation. Upon arrival, I encountered several problems in my room. The safe was not working, the air conditioning was out of order for two consecutive days, and there was a problem with the window, which could not be opened or closed properly. The bathroom sink also had issues. In other words, I experienced problems in my room for two consecutive days, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this……

“Los dos primeros días todo perfecto después de el segundo día había veces que los elevadores no funcionaban, una vez tuve que subir por las escaleras hasta el quinto piso, después del segundo día había veces que no había luz en algunos enchufes y volvía después de varias horas, el personal amable, atento, menos una señora que recepción que tenía cara de no querer estar viva pero todos los demás amables y sonrientes, los dos primeros días 10/10 después 5/10”
