"We couldn’t fault this Hotel particularly the bar staff who were wonderful - very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well spec’s. It’s a great location for the centre of York shopping and sightseeing."

"Friendly staff upon arrival and easy check in. Lovely room on the third floor. My only gripes were the air conditioning unit was feeble and noisy and the shower was very weak. "

"This hotel was roughly 15 minutes or less walking distance from all the main attractions in York. Great to walk out and see the castle right in front. The rooms were clean and decent size for the double bed room, and had pleasant staff. The included breakfast had a nice assortment of hot and cold food options. I didn't like that WIFI is an addition, but I believe that's standard amongst Hilton chains, and not specific to this location. (Although the city is so quaint we didn't need it.) Some good restaurants around it as well. We had a great stay in York!"

"We arrived at the hotel early, did all the booking in, left our bags with reception, and went into York. On returning we collected our keys and our bags were taken up to our room. I had previously ordered, as a surprise for my husband due to it being our 30th anniversary, a box of chocolates and a fruit platter, both of which were waiting for us. The junior suite was lovely and airy, looking out towards the garden and Minster, there was also a box containing biscuits and various packets of teas/coffees, and cans of water in tbe fridge. We had also booked evening meals, and these were very enjoyable and tasty, the burger for my husband and the fish for myself, followed by salted caramel ice creams. Throughout our stay the staff were lovely, very helpful and considerate and always available. When we booked out we left our bags with them until time for our train. Thank-you to all the staff for a relaxing time. "
