“I am going to celebrate my husband's wedding. The hotel is cosy and unique, it has a nice restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and a small library bar where you can chill with friends. The room is spacious and warm, we love this hotel.”

“Unfortunately this property has passed its heyday which is a shame as the potential is there. If you are looking for a relaxing break forget it as it is geared towards hen weekends/ spa breaks and multiple weddings. Property maintenance is sadly lacking everything looks tired and rundown. The drawer in our bedside cabinet would not close and the shower barely clung onto the wall. Suggest requesting a room somewhere quiet if there is such an area. “We arrived in the hotel early and left our luggages to the hotel staff. When we got back our luggage in the evening, one of the suitcases was apparently damaged. The staff tried to fixed it twice but failed. I was promised to be given at least a letter confirming the damage so that I could send it our insurer, and that the hotel would give us membership points as a compensation. The manager also said he would check the cctv and come back to us. However, nothing happened until we chased for an……

“Great hotel but NO parking which has to be said is a big minus point. I parked at Riverside Parking on recommendation of hotel but you have to pay using Ringo App but as far as I could see you cannot pay for 24 hours as your parking slot ends at 23.59 on the day. How you pay for more ‘god only knows?’ Not user friendly. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent. Rooms were good although aircon seemed to go off around 10pm? Definitely got warmer then.”
