“The area was unkept. Empty bottles and glasses outside. No doors opened at 3 pm when we circulated the entire property. We thought the place had gone bankrupt. Eventually we pounded on the door and an elderly man came to the front door. He could not understand our frustration of not being able to enter. He came outside, next he got locked outside - malfunctioning front doors. He circled the outside of the building and came back to re-open the front door. The hotel is old, run down, homeless……

“Our stay at Hotel Santa Gilla was okay overall. The room was clean, but the furniture was quite dated and some of it was starting to show its age. The bathroom was the biggest issue for us—the shower was extremely small, and the doors did not seal properly, which resulted in water getting onto the bathroom floor. “Lovely room with mini fridge, great shower and balcony and really comfortable beds. Brilliant free activities for kids and teens morning 10am, afternoon 3pm and night 9pm. Watch out for the special kids activities like art classes that come with an extra charge as these at €25 are quite pricey. Activities for adults and kids are shared across three hotels in Chia Laguna so padel and table tennis were across the road but only a couple of minutes walk. There was no yoga on when we stayed which……
