“The gentleman on reception was very pleasant but the hotel has seen better days. The lift was out of order so we had to haul our luggage up the stairs. The room was very run down and not very clean. It was disappointing, really.”

“Southpark House is a well run guest house in a fabulous location. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is well maintained and extremely clean. Breakfast is out of this world, freshly cooked and a fantastic selection to choose from. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable and the en-suite was pristine. An absolute joy to stay there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Dumfries and the surrounding areas.”
