"The room was clean, and breakfast was included. The hotel is within walking distance of a Lawson convenience store and several restaurants. We stayed here both before and after our Mt. Fuji climb, and it was a convenient and comfortable choice."

THE SENSE FUJI

8/10 Good
"The location and the facilities were definitely unique, being at the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan. We had breakfast one day and dinner another day. While dinner was great ( the grill), the Japanese breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Food was really little, there a slice of salmon that would not be enough for a sashimi, and no sausages as expected. Apart from the under par breakfast, everything else was definitely nice"

Yamanakako Ryokan RYOZAN

8/10 Good
"A lovely traditional Japanese Ryoken. Staff were lovely and always did their best to help. You are required to remove your shoes on entry and store them in the cabinet and unfortunately this is where the problems began. I did as instructed, but my shoes had vanished in the morning as some imbecile had decided to take them. I know this as they re-appeared the next morning absolutely stinking and in a disgusting and awful state. Who in their right mind would think this is acceptable? Who would even want to take somebody else's worn shoes to use for themselves? The Japanese culture is respectful and kind. Unfortunately, some western tourists trample roughshod over this and have no respect for others, their customs or their belongings. Shame on you."
