“I stayed at Preston House last week. Hotels.com didn't send me the details on email as was outlined in the booking. I contacted the owner who was extremely helpful and gave me an upgrade and sent on all the details straight away. The house itself is beautiful and my room was spacious and comfortable and a really lovely place to stay. The owner checked in with me to make sure I got checked in ok and again the following day to make sure I had no problems with my stay. I work in Laois multiple……

“The staff were terrific but clearly short staffed and overworked. Not their fault—and the staff on the front desk were marvellous if you could get their attention, but it was apparent that they are short staffed. Let me begin by saying we live kids—we’ve had four and they have kids now. But this place was 24 hours of kids out of control—from the bedroom hallways to the bar and lobby…yelling, running—one twelve year old slapped the heck out if her father at the bar. I loved that they served the hot breakfast to your table and the food both dinner in the bar and breakfast In the restaurant were piping hot and delicious. Bedroom was spacious. Warm and comfortable. I totally recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. ”
