“Historic hotel with modern and up to date rooms, although some are a fair hike, and no elevator if that is a concern. We loved it!”

“Cannot fault this lovely hotel. Just wanted to comment, to be patient with food order. We arrived at 7.30pm, staff where clearly busy, there was also a wedding in the venue. We where not served our starters until 9pm and deserts till after 10pm with a young family this was obviously not ideal. I must comment all food (apart from veggie option) was very good.”

“There is no air conditioning but ceiling fan only, it will be hot during summer months like July and August. The staff in general are very helpful and sincere. The breakfast quality is good. ”

“Location is great. Bar and dinner was good - limited menu. Breakfast was excellent. Fan in the bathroom was a bit scary. No lift to upper floors. ”

“The check-in was very smooth. The staff member showed us through the property including the smoking area, public washrooms, the breakfast area and our room. It’s upstairs from a pub so we needed all that information to find the amenities. He showed us where to park the car for the night. A full Irish breakfast was included and it was wonderful. The food aitress who served us was lovely. We booked this at the last minute when our other accommodation fell through. We all had a good sleep. Five……

“An acceptable place for an overnight stay. An old and warn hotel but clean and staff are nice. Didn't eat breakfast but did have dinner there. It was very average”

“Lovely stay at lord Beganals. The property is fabulous tastefully decorated and beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Staff are very friendly special mention to Karen and Kay breakfast team !! Food in restaurant also delicious and freshly prepared very efficient even though it was very busy Sleepy little village with lovely walk along the river If you want to make this place even more special consider adding a spa or pool. No matter we’ll be back 💚”

“There was a humming sound in the room that made sleeping rather difficult. Seemed to come from an alarm system of some sort next to the door. Room was 121”
