Stayed for the weekend, clean and very nice staff. Booked 4 rooms and thought it was strange only one had a refrigerator but we shared so it was good. Rooms were nice and we would definately stay again.

We were in the area for a Penn State game. It was a bit out of the area from the stadium but it was worth being off the beaten path. The room was accommodating for the over night stay and very clean. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant at check in. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. The use of the voucher for parking in the garage was a bit confusing but worked out. Also, the room was very clean aside from the fan on the ceiling in the bathroom. And no toilet paper holder in the bathroom.

The best area to stay in Alexandria is Old Town, which serves as the city's historic downtown and waterfront district.
This neighborhood is the main hub for visitors. It's very walkable and features well-preserved 18th and 19th-century architecture, with many local shops, restaurants, and art galleries centered along King Street. Its location on the Potomac River provides direct access to the waterfront promenade and views of the river. Couples often find this area ideal for a scenic and relaxing trip, enjoying strolls along the waterfront and dining at upscale establishments.
For families, the area around the George Washington Masonic National Memorial offers a good balance of convenience and accessibility. While not as bustling as Old Town, it provides easier access to major roadways for day trips and often features accommodations with amenities like pools. The memorial itself is a prominent landmark and offers expansive views of the city. This area is a practical choice for families looking for a base that allows for both local exploration and excursions to nearby attractions.
When is the best time to go to Alexandria?
The best times to visit Alexandria, Pennsylvania, are during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October).

For those interested in fishing, particularly fly fishing, these months often align with prime conditions on the nearby rivers and streams.
