"Beautiful property in a fantastic location. I highly recommend staying at this historic hotel when visiting Santo Domingo. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and they offer free parking, which is hard to find in a central location. I think the rooms should be upgraded. While our room was attractive, the toilet and sink were outdated, and the toilet had a crack in the neck. The toilet seat was also too small for the toilet. Additionally, the air conditioner needs to be updated. I notice the unit does not go below some specific temperature. It’s quite noisy early in the morning, and you can hear people talking outside the hall door, likely because of inadequate door seals. Otherwise, I will recommend it."

"Great location, right in the plaza. We loved the cafe right outside, very convenient. Enjoyed the colonial style and how well maintained the property is. Some things to improve: there is no parking at the propriety and parking in the area is very hard to find. Loading and unloading our luggage was stressful as there is no space for this in front of the hotel. There are no elevators so you have to carry your luggage up to 4 floors of stairs depending in which floor your room is. We arrived very late (after 12 am) and there were no signs of where the entrance was. We had to try several times until we found the door. All that being said, I would recommend this hotel as it is right in the middle on of the Zona colonial, spacious, beatiful, clean and safe!"
