“We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful country of Antigua at Hawksbill resort. However the food at 2/3 restaurants on the resort was very bland and lacked authentic Antiguan culture. The resort did not show much Antigen culture. The resort over charged for everything. There was a 50 dollar fee at check in once you arrive, 20 dollars a night for room service. However despite that there were some truly amazing people that made our trip more enjoyable. Tracy our talented, excellent chef at PD’s……
“We changed rooms 4 times. Almost 3 days we spent waiting at the desk to change rooms. Rooms had mold on the AC vents, bathrooms and the musty smell made my asthma worse. That place needs a lot of work. Office and front desk staff had blank reactions like they are talking to Aliens. Not helpful at all. But the bell guys, room service, food service people were always smiling and greeting. Very disappointed as I spent hours on the phone with Expedia. tried explaining them we had our daughter with……
“The resort was pretty good for the most part. However there were several disappointing things. It may have been that someone stepped away but Check in was chaotic. No welcome person or drink. Bellman took luggage but didn't give directions were to go next. Taxi staff was just standing there looking at us. All restaurants need reservations and they were hard to get into them they were. Either closed some days or said no availability. Food was okay. Everyday something was not available. Hunters……
“Our taxi from the airport to the resort was approximately **$60 for two people**. I will admit, the drive to the resort may have you questioning whether you made the right choice when you first see the roads and surroundings. **You did — don’t worry!** Once you arrive, you’ll understand why you booked this resort.
### 🛏️ Room Tip
If you like your room **really cold**, close the bathroom door and shut the blackout curtains before leaving for the day. It definitely helps keep the room cooler……
“It was our third time staying at Dickinson bay cottages. We love the proximity to the beach. This time we were in a 1 bedroom. The room was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We like the updated washroom, but the towel bar needed to be affixed more securely, possiblyina better location.”
“When I arrived at The Ocean Inn in Antigua and Barbuda, I was immediately struck by its spectacular, top-tier location. However, the property itself was in desperate need of a deep, thorough cleaning and major renovation. During my stay, I was deeply uncomfortable because the room was poorly maintained: the bath towels were stained, the kitchen dishes, microwave, and hot water kettle were dirty, and the bedsheets that were supposed to be white were dingy and discolored. To make matters worse,……
