“This location was absolutely fine for the amount paid. It was clean and secure. Access was easy and owner communication was very quick! The space itself is a little sparse. It could definitely use some more furniture, especially seating. As for the location, I think the owners spell it out pretty clearly in their ad. This is not exactly an up and coming neighborhood but at no time did we ever feel unsafe. But, if you’re easily freaked out, maybe keep searching. It IS an easy drive to downtown……

“Driftwood Management does an excellent job as a host. We had everything we needed and more. We were able to reach out for anything if we ran out. Property has really nice finishes and appliances.”

“Small little one bedroom “apartment” but big enough for my husband and I with our toddler. We wanted a little bit more roaming room for her instead of a standard hotel room. It was super clean too which was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.”

“My family, all adults now, enjoyed how close entertainment and eating establishments were. Very quiet, clean neighborhood. Lots of very nice dog walkers for neighbors. The rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves a lot.We were all there for a wedding and the VRBO was perfect. Great communication communications with the owners.”

“The sunroom converted to sleeping space was too cold to use (obviously not on the HVAC system., Luckily, we only needed two bedrooms. Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms and the large updated kitchen was a huge plus. Only negative was that the place lacked any character or design and had a lack of furniture, specifically in bedrooms.”

“This is a very clean, rather stark property with the basics. Not cozy or homelike, but it serves it's purpose. The owners were very responsive & nice when we needed more dishes or other kitchen basics. Street noise is an issue, busy main street near stop light, fire, police & ambulance sirens day & nite. Use the sound machine they provide, bring earplugs. Good for a college student.student”

“Appreciated the off-street parking. Shower well-supplied. Kitchen use would have been enhanced with cloth towel(s), napkins, pot holders. WiFi connection needed host's intervention. Location close to Duke's East Campus with its walkable pathway, and a nearby commercial area was a plus.”

“This property needs to be removed from the list to be able to stay in. This property is a converted low income housing unit. Pretty much every piece of furniture in the house is falling apart. They are cockroaches everywhere The owner says that this is new to them. Absolutely a lie. They strategically have roach traps, hidden in places you wouldn’t think about looking. I am very disappointed about this stay and will definitely never ever stay there again. I feel like the property owner owes me……
