“Great neighbourhood, a well designed apartment with 'cosy' kitchen. We loved having breakfast on the terrace under the shade of the beautiful mature trees each morning. Very comfortable bed, and the single bed worked well for our young adult son. The apartment was very well located to Duke university and the amenities on and near 9th Street and Broad street. Our host was very responsive and helped resolve minor issues we had with the shower and slightly too cold a/c straight away. We will……

“My family's experience renting this property this past weekend was very poor. While the apartment and amenities were good, the apartment was disgusting and dirty. It we had any other choice, we would've left immediately. When we arrived, the apartment looked like someone tried hard to do as little as possible to make it look clean. The previous occupant had a pet, and there was hair everywhere. The floors had not been swept, the carpet had not been vacuumed, and the rugs in the bathroom had not……

“This location was absolutely fine for the amount paid. It was clean and secure. Access was easy and owner communication was very quick! The space itself is a little sparse. It could definitely use some more furniture, especially seating. As for the location, I think the owners spell it out pretty clearly in their ad. This is not exactly an up and coming neighborhood but at no time did we ever feel unsafe. But, if you’re easily freaked out, maybe keep searching. It IS an easy drive to downtown……
