The walls were paper thin. The people above me were walking around all night and the people (I think they lived there) were loud, I could hear all their conversations through the wall. Those same people were outside smoking cigarettes in front of our room which may be the reason the room absolutely stunk. No A/C. It was hot while we were there and we couldn't open the other window to get a draft going through the room because the people next to our room were always smoking outside of the window. I wonder if the fireplace in the room is the only source of heat in the hotel room. We stayed in the Gordan lodge, I think it was called and our room was #B. The staff I met at night and the people I talked to on the phone before checking in were super nice though. Pet-friendly hotel, though it is a $60 charge.
We had a short but sweet stay here. The guy at the front desk was super nice and helpful. The cabin we stayed in, the Gretchen, was very cute and nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Not sure when it was built but the room was extremely outdated. Forget the TV or “cable”, Bring your own laptop or phone to watch. Bed covers had stains on them. Put our kids in a blanket we brought from home.
The fireplace was the only heater. worked ok though.
Front staff was very friendly. Coffee in room not bad. Bathroom accessories good.
The staff there was friendly and accommodating. The room was in poorly cleaned when checking in at 5pm. The indoor hot tub wasnt drained, and still had hair and water in it. There was a used soda bottle as an ash tray on the patio, even though its suppose to be non-smoking.The bed sheets were cleaned, but it had like old blood stains and tears in it. You figured they would just throw it away. I still ended up staying my whole visit there, but that was strange to see all that in a hotel.
