Perfect spot near the village
This home was perfectly located next to the Big Bear Village. We walked everywhere which was great. The parking was very steep but easy for our truck to navigate. We'd definitely stay there again.

Disappointed
* The pictures of the outside of the house that are posted online are deceiving. * I asked to be relocated because the yard is overgrown. When I was at the Vacasa office to talk to the lady at the office, she had the property manager on speaker and I heard the property manager say, “just because they don’t like the yard isn’t a reason to relocate.” * Ants and spiders inside the house * Shower clogged and won’t drain properly, no one ever called me back or stopped by to fix the clog. * Power went out for about 2 hours * Loose tile in the bathroom * Most of the Roman shades are broken so you can’t let natural light in. I read on one the reviews that one of the Roman Shades has been damaged since 2021. * Ceilings loudly crack and pop constantly, not sure if there are critters in the attic or just the paneled ceiling settling * Refrigerator door handle had food on the backside * Front of the house looks trashy * Yard is overgrown, the weeds are about 2 feet tall. * Trash in the front yard * Bathroom window does not open This property is in need of some TLC!!!! I have requested some sort of refund!

Perfect location
This is our second stay here, once during the summer and now in the winter. Location is ideal, only a short walk to the downtown area. The floors were much cleaner than our first stay but still needs a better cleaning. The driveway is also at a downward slope and icy, thankfully we had snow chains to get us out.

Location was close to town but the property exterior needs some attention.
We arrived after dark and the property management co was great. They waited after 8pm for us. Vacasa is useless for the renter, lots of spam texts from three different numbers with questions about the unit and check in. We hadn't even checked in yet. As we got to the door we noticed a court order taped to the door for violation of taking care of fire mitigation/brush clearance. The original site was in September and this was a court order from a judge. You can tell the exterior has been neglected. The inside was re-done nicely, but the floors were dirty as a previous guest had mentioned. Our socks were brown in a couple of hours. Also there was dried food on the dining room table and two of the four living room/kitchen blinds didn't open. It made it cave like. The house is a good location and good for dogs but it's clear people aren't really paying attention to the up keep.

Vacasa not so good
The place was ok. Vacasa insisted that we check in at another location. When we arrived during the window they were supposed to be open, no one was there. Called an after hours number posted on the door and eventually they produced the check in code on the phone.. I'll be reluctant to use Vacasa again.

Nice but could be better
3 of the window blinds were broken Very sparse cooking utensils Pillows poor Location great Love the open yard I would stay here again but please invest in some basics. I have been involved with the management end of rentals and we would provide a list that owners would stock. If items taken or broken and the fee charged per night doesn't cover, then charge the renters.

This was a cute cabin. Easy access to get into from parking. Love how close Big Bear village was. My 11 year old daughter loved that there was bunk beds although she didn’t sleep in both top and bottom bunks but had the option too. Chicken was simple. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks from the R,T,E team

Cozy cabin!
The outside does not look impressive but step inside and it’s completely updated. The heater is loud when it runs and made the top bunk in the second bedroom unusable. Nice big sofa in the main room with television over the wood burning fireplace. The location of the cabin was perfect for a short drive to the village and close to many great restaurants. Our kids want to come back!

This was the perfect cabin for our family! It was clean new upgrades throughout and the fireplace was perfect to cozy up to! I loved everything about this place. 1 small drawback. My husband is 6’7” both of us had to squeeze into the bed. Check in was smooth and they were very professional. This cabin is a quick walk to the village!! A beautiful memory with our family! We will definitely return!! Thank you for the great experience. The Lee Family 10/12/21

The location is perfect. Lots of extra towels, sheets, blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed. The house had minimal decorations which was perfect with having small children. Only downside was the floors were very dirty; just after an hour my kids’ socks were black.

Nicely updated 2 BR close to BB Village
Cabin was nicely updated with a cabin feel but very nice updates throughout. No pictures on the wall and only recessed lighting. Due to global warming it was over 90 degrees in Big Bear in July and this cabin does not have AC. However they had 2 ceiling fans in one bedroom and living room. Very nice large couch and TV which included cable. Free internet. Nice size bathroom. All was clean. Great place for me and my small dog. Nice location right off of BB blvd making it easy to get to the village. I would recommend and some friends of mine who visited one day have also rented it. Simply no frills.

Dirty
When I was looking at this cabin to book I noticed there were reviews about it being dirty upon arrival. I assumed that the company had since improved their cleaning since they had received negative reviews plus boast about their exceptional cleaning measures for covid on their website. Honestly the dirtiest cabin I’ve ever rented, pre and post covid era. Sheets had multiple strands of hairs all over and eye lashes left on them in the top bunk bed. We called and asked for new sheets that were delivered 3 hours later after calling twice requesting them. I spilled water on the floor so when I soaked it up with paper towels, the paper towels were brown. Honestly the floor hasn’t been mopped in weeks? I also lost my earring and decided to look under the couch for it. Disgusting. Animal hair, pieces of food, dust, and pine needles. We also decided to use the oven. I checked before I turned it on to make sure there weren’t any pans in there. Ten minutes later it smells like somethings burning... there was a disposable foil lid left on the bottom (I assume to catch any food from spilling onto the bottom of the oven and burning) well under the lid must have not been cleaned up. There were chunks of black burnt food that weren’t scraped off from prior renters so the house filled with smoke and the food scraps were smoking on the bottom burning. Cute cabin, really a shame how dirty it was. Upset we paid so much for the “cleaning” fee when it was not clean at all.

Great location; nice cabin
The location is exceptional; it really is a five-minute slow walk to the Village and amenities. The cabin was overall good, though not as large as some of the pictures make it look--that's an extremely skillful picture of the distance between entrance and kitchen. Kitchen and floors have been upgraded, bathroom is spacious, and the furniture in the front room was very comfortable, well-sized, and functional. Big TV with capability of streaming all the platforms (though some instructions in the guest folder would have been nice). A few issues made the stay less than it could have been--the biggest one was that the blinds in the front room (which is a kitchen, dining room and living room all in one) were broken, so that we couldn't raise them. With all the trees, the cabin is dark to begin with--not being able to raise the blinds made for a fairly depressing interior. Another was the queen bed in the master bedroom; as a previous reviewer mentioned, it's just not comfortable, and the pillows are awful; small and flat. In addition, it's not really set up for anything but sleeping; no nightstand or side table; no reading lamp, and with those pillows, you're not going to be sitting up in bed. Fortunately, the couch is extremely comfortable; in fact, after the first night, we should have just slept on it. Construction was ongoing at the Honey Bear Lodge right next door; don't know how long that's scheduled for, but it prevented us from sitting outside on the porch or in the yard. A little construction noise is fine, but this was a lot of thuds and crane movement and shouting. The yard is spacious, and in non-construction times, would be very enjoyable. There's a beautiful old apple tree right next to the front porch, loaded with apples at the moment. Vacasa maintenance manager Jeremy was very responsive to our call about the blinds when we arrived (though he was not able to fix them, we appreciated the speed of his response and his level of professionalism), and the check-in process was swift. So mostly good; if the blinds and bed/pillows could be taken care of, this would be a cabin I would recommend whole-heartedly.
