We had originally planned a weekend in Hico, but our Airbnb didn’t work out, and we were so thankful to find a room here—especially since we were traveling with our pup. Finding a dog-friendly place at the last minute isn’t always easy, and the Interstate Inn was the perfect surprise. The retro decor is so charming and thoughtfully done. “Upon the check in and the check out, 2 staff members stood out. I checked in on 7/18/26 at around 2 p.m. The clerk was friendly, professional, and helpful. He did everything to make us feel welcomed. When we came back to our room around 5:00 p.m. and clerk was on duty. She too was friendly, professional, and helpful. The whole city lost power and she kept us of informed of the repairs. This was a very reasonable priced clean hotel. I would definitely return.”

“The room was great!! Bed extremely comfortable and the room spacious for us and our grandsons! Breakfast was very good! They kept the hot breakfast items filled and the food was great!! The wading pool was awesome. The large pool was good. A little dirty with some leaves, bugs, etc however not terrible.”
