Nicely located with restaurants and shops all close by, the Rome Termini Station is approximately 10 minutes walk and the local tourist sites can be easily reached by walking. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. Marco outlined everything on a local map on our arrival and we were asked if our stay was okay on departure. The rooms were cleaned each day. We didn’t require the air conditioning as the temperature wasn’t hot enough. We had two rooms on the fourth floor both overlooking the Ministry of the Interior which was a great view.

The property and room were fine. The location was in a nice area, but not necessarily close to any of the main attractions. My big complaint was with the customer service. It was our honeymoon (following our vow renewal) and our son & his girlfriend's 5-year anniversary. We were also traveling with our little girl. I called before coming and sent an email about putting some special items in each room. A note, chocolates, wine, or balloons. Something on our daughter's bed and in our son & his girls room - a special touch if you will. When arriving, the front desk knew nothing of this but promised it would be taken care of that evening when we stepped out. It never happened. The following morning, the staff said they would handle it, but it never happened again. The same staffers were there for the next two days, and neither offered to correct the situation. I just turned off by the lack of customer care as a vacation rental host myself.

The breakfast selection is good. The room size is ok. We had to request luggage rack as this "superior room" is relatively small, there's no place to sit our 2 luggage even on the floor. We were told that we booked a "classic room" but they gave us the superior one, with a balcany. Thus the room is small. Most of the time we would be out touring the historical sites in Rome, who needs a balcany looking at the back of the other building? I requested a different room, but was told there's no other room available except a suite on the 8th (top) floor but we need to pay additional 60 euros. Since we paid over $300 (with tax) for one night, we didn't want to spend a penny more. The design of the room is not well thought out, as we can hear the next room flush the toilet and shower water running. The open closet doesn't have drawers or storage space. This means that we cannot unpack our luggage. The bathroom is pretty large. The other positive point of this hotel is the location. The metro stop is across the street. Many cafes, shops nearby. Some intersting places are with walking distance, i.e. Palazzo Massimo Museum, Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. Not sure if all hotels in Rome are over 300 dollars a night, but this is not a first class hotel which we expected.

They weren't aware of our request for 2 beds, not one double bed, but quickly got us into the correct room the next day. Staff was very helpful with info about trains, Metro, busses, etc.
